Yami 2017

I was going to work on other things but I couldn't find the motivation so I looked for something else to work on instead of starting something new that I'll never finish, and so I finished Yami's redesign :I;;;
Some of you may not know her, but a handful might, half of my drawings of her are with Ysulyan's derg, Ysul, and he's drawn her quite a bit as well :>

She's almost 4 1/2 years now!

 Late 2011 

Yami didn't have a name and I originally made her a male dragon bat. With similar coloring, Yami originally had some obscure blue markings that didn't make much sense and were thought of on the spot, but never replicated. Not much else to say, but they always had their tongue out for some reason when I drew them.

 Early 2012

I never officially made a reference for Yami until 2014, but I did do other drawings of her after I changed her sex and simplified her markings. Otherwise her design is the same as before, colors and all!

 Mid 2012

Between early and mid 2012, I had begun rping with Ysulyan using Yami and so was born her anthro form, which became the mostly drawn form of her as it seemed more fitting. This was merely a vent art at the time, but served as her anthro ref for a good while, in her anthro form, instead of the two finger claws, she had actual hands, and no wings attached.

 Early 2014

Until this point, Yami never had an official ref, and I finally got her outfits designed and able to draw for the ref. Previously, Yami was drawn either nude or in her dress, and Ysulyan helped me to design her armor, he pretty much did all of it :> Over the years, her design hardly changed at all.


And now, in 2017, Yami makes a comeback as a Wyvern! I liked to believe she was a bat-dragon hybrid, but it just never seemed right even if that's what I intended her to be, she's still the kiwi-loving gal though! I kept her main fur color the same, as well as the greenish-blue on her belly. Otherwise her blue markings are the most noticeable change, making them more wavy/stripey than the awkward swirls and dots. Additionally, I changed the purple to a periwinkle. Her red eyes and blackish tongue remain the same, old habits don't die young, cause it seems she's still sticking her tongue out

I've been losing motivation again to draw, not so much because of the art block as it is for losing my time to Assassin's Creed, I've only just tried it this past week, playing through Revelations, and I bought Black Flag and Syndicate today, someone help me :'I;;;;
